New long-haul budget carrier Level is adding more flights to North America from Europe.

Level, which is owned by British Airways’ parent IAG, will link Paris Orly Airport to Newark Liberty and Montreal.

Paris Orly becomes a second European hub for the startup airline after Barcelona.

Flights will be operated by A330-200 aircraft with 293 economy and 21 premium economy seats and begin to Montreal three times a week from July 2 and four times weekly to Newark on September 4.

Level’s Paris flights will be operated by the workforce which currently works for IAG’s French airline OpenSkies.

The OpenSkies brand will cease operating in late summer 2017 and all employees will transfer to Level.

Fares to the US from Paris will start at $149 each way and are now available to book.

It will also fly from Orly to the French Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

Level also announced nonstop flights to Boston from its Barcelona base, which are due to begin on March 28.

It will offer up to three services a week during peak times.

"Level’s Barcelona operation has been an incredible success. Barcelona was always a first step and today we’re delighted to launch flights from our second European city with four exciting new routes from Paris," said IAG CEO Willie Walsh.
