Luxury hospitality group Mandarin Oriental International has announced Edouard Ettedgui will step down as group chief executive on March 31, 2016.
He will be replaced by James Riley, who will join Mandarin Oriental from his current position as group finance director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited.
"Edouard has led Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group since 1998, and has been instrumental in the group becoming recognised by many as the best global luxury hotel group. It is an outstanding achievement, for which we are extremely grateful," said chairman of Mandarin Oriental, Ben Keswick.
Ettedgui will remain with the company as a non-executive director.
"I would also like to wish James every success in continuing Edouard’s fine work of building the Group’s portfolio and reputation," Keswick added.
Riley joind the Jardine Matheson Group in 1993 and has worked in several senior finance and commercial positions prior to his current role which began in 2005.
Riley has served on the board of Mandarin Oriental’s management company for the past ten years.
