Melia Hotels checking in to Bangkok

Leading Spanish hotel group Melia Hotels International has struck a deal to bring the Melia brand to Thai capital Bangkok.
 
It has signed an agreement with TCC Asset World for a 315-room property in the Sukhumvit district which is due to open in 2022.
 
Located in a new mixed-use development, it will feature F&B outlets, a spa, a fitness centre and meeting space.
 
"We are delighted to widen our relationship with Meli, with the addition of this third property. We stand committed to bringing best of hospitality to Thailand and firmly believe that Meli Bangkok would further our vision of creating unique product and service offerings for our guests." said Nishant Grover, COO of Asset World.
 
It will be managed under the signature Melia Hotels & Resorts brand.
 
Melia has 126 properties worldwide with 13 hotels currently open in Asia and a further 21 in development.
