Microsoft boss supporting Four Seasons bid

Microsoft boss Bill Gates’ investment firm is involved in an attempt to buy luxury chain Four Season Hotels.

Cascade Investments is reportedly backing a £2 billion plan to take the Canadian group private with Four Seasons founder and cheif executive Isadore Sharp.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud is also supporting the plan.

Sharp was quoted as saying Gates and Prince Alwaleed “share my long-term vision and commitment to this company.”

He added that he would remain boss of Four Seasons and the company would maintain its Toronto headquarters, according the the BBC.
