A new privately funded search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is being mooted, and will likely be led by the doomed jet’s manufacturer Boeing.
An underwater search led by Australia, China and Malaysia is coming to its conclusion, but John Goglia, former investigator and safety consultant at the US National Transportation Safety Board says a new search will begin.
"The search will continue … but it will be a privately run. It’ll be smaller and more focused but that’s probably better," Goglia tolfd Australian media, adding that Boeing had agreed to lead a new search.
More than a dozen pieces of wreckage have been recovered in the Western Indian Ocean which are believed to be either definitely or highly likely from the missing jet.
Flight MH370 with 239 people on board went missing on March 8, 2014.
