Emirates has appointed Alastair Irwin as European contact centre manager for the UK.
Based in Wilmslow, Manchester, he will be responsible for the operational delivery of customer and travel trade related support for Europe.
The UK contact centre has just over 300 employees handling multi-lingual customer enquiries and reservation calls from over 17 countries.
Irwin will also work closely with other contact centres globally including Dubai, Mumbai, Melbourne, New York and Guanzhou.
Previously, Irwin spent 14 years in the telecommunications industry with Virgin Media and, most recently, IBM in the operational control office.
