International Airlines Group’s travel rewards company, Avios, has appointed Gavin Halliday as its new managing director.
He joins from sister company, British Airways, where he held commercial roles for more than 18 years, most recently as area general manager Europe and Africa.
Halliday replaces Andrew Swaffield, who left Avios after seven years as MD to become MD of Monarch Airlines, starting on April 1.
He will report into Robert Boyle, IAG director of strategy.
