Abu Dhabi will be the host destination for the 2016 ABTA Travel Convention.
The event will take place on October 10-12.
It will be held at the five-star Yas Viceroy on Yas Island, the first thotel in the world to be built over a F1 race circuit.
The hotel consists of two 12-story hotel towers, one in the race circuit and another located in the Marina itself and linked by a monocoque steel and glass bridge.
The convention will be sponsored by Etihad Airways, which operates flights from London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
The news was announced at the end of this year’s convention held in Costa Navarino, Greece.
Etihad general manager UK James Harrison welcomed delegates and said he ‘thinks we’ve got the basis of a very successful conference’.
