Norwegian announces new Northern Norway flights from Gatwick

Seats are now on sale for Norwegian’s new winter route linking London and Northern Norway

The new route between London Gatwick Airport and Harstad-Narvik Airport in Evenes operates this coming winter.

“We’ve been eager to announce it. Northern Norway attracts thousands of visitors to experience the northern lights and beautiful Arctic wilderness,” said Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian.

Harstad-Narvik airport in Evenes is a gateway for some of Northern Norway’s most scenic areas like the Lofoten islands.

This northerly region is a year-round destination.

The winter season gives visitors the best opportunity to experience the northern lights amid dark Arctic skies.

“Evenes serves as the gateway to the beauty of the Lofoten region, the international ski resort Narvikfjellet, unique whale experiences in Vesterålen, and more,” said Vegeir Selboe, Marketing Manager at Destination Lofoten.

The new Northern Norway flights will operate weekly each Saturday from 2 November during the winter season.

Norwegian also unveiled a new direct route between Harstad-Narvik airport in Evenes and Bergamo/Milano for the winter season.

These new Northern Norway routes are in addition to the previously announced direct route to Palma de Mallorca for summer.

Norwegian also operates year around direct flights between Evenes and Oslo, and between Evenes and Bergen during the summer season.
