Norwegian Aqua concludes maiden voyage

Norwegian Cruise Line has just completed a maiden voyage of its highly anticipated new ship, Norwegian Aqua, from Lisbon to Southampton, England.
Norwegian Aqua hosted over 2,000 invited guests aboard to experience the new Prima-Plus service offerings for the first time.
As the first vessel in the Prima Plus Class, Norwegian Aqua features several enhancements to Prima Class with all-new attractions and amenities.
NCL released a first look of its 20th ship.
“This was a milestone moment for Norwegian Cruise Line as we offer our guests more wide-open space, more thrills, more culinary experiences, and more immersive entertainment,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.
“During this inaugural season, we look forward to welcoming our travel partners from around the world and being the first to experience our newest product.”
Norwegian Aqua’s industry-first and brand-exclusive features include the Aqua Slidecoaster – the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide.
Guests can also enjoy the Glow Court, a next-generation digital sports complex featuring an interactive LED floor that adapts for different games during the day while it transforms to a club at night.
The Aqua Game Zone reimagines NCL’s Galaxy Pavilion, providing more entertainment for all ages with a mix of retro arcade games, virtual reality challenges, and interactive gaming.
The new ship features “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” as a standout live show as well as an enhanced version of “Elements: The World Expanded.
There are 17 new and returning guest-favorite restaurants as well as 18 bars and lounges.
Norwegian Aqua embarks on a transatlantic voyage to Miami for a naming ceremony on April 13, 2025, with Emmy® Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet as godfather.
Aqua will then homeport in Miami and Port Canaveral as well as New York City, offering Bahamas, Caribbean and Bermuda itineraries until March 2027..
