Omicron has slowed United Airlines’ recovery
United Airlines posted a net loss of $646 million. It was its best quarter of the pandemic yet but admitted the surge in Covid-19 cases has affected bookings in recent weeks. This will push back its recovery, the airline said.
It scaled back its 2022 growth forecast with higher expected costs and capacity still down by up to 18% on 2019. However, the airline said bookings for spring and summer 2022 have been strong.
