Open destinations that have maintained low Covid rates
These five Caribbean destinations (plus Macau) have shown that opening up to foreign visitors doesn’t mean a rise in Covid cases is inevitable. Some destinations have kept Covid rates low by imposing stringent protocols, which often include ‘vacation in place’ requirements.
In the British Virgin Islands for example, travelers must test upon arrival, download a tracing app and quarantine for four days in their hotel or villa. Everyone who passes a PCR test on the fourth day of quarnatine is then free to move around .
