Ottawa Tourism’s Board of Directors have named Michael Crockatt as president and chief executive of Ottawa Tourism effective next month.
Crockatt brings years of experience in Canadian travel and tourism, beginning his career as director of marketing for cargo and passenger services at Winnipeg Airports Authority.
He served for eight years as business development and marketing VP with the Ottawa International Airport Authority, and most recently as senior vice president, air service and business development with InterVISTAS Consulting.
"After an extensive national search that attracted candidates from across Canada and the United States, I am delighted that we been able to secure Michael for this important tourism leadership position," said Geoff Publow, chair of the Ottawa Tourism Board of Directors.
Crockatt takes up the post on March 7, 2016 replacing interim president and CEO Dick Brown.
