Passenger stung by scorpion mid-flight
Air India apologised to a passenger for a ‘rare and unfortunate incident.
The woman on a Nagpur-Mumbai flight was stung by a scorpion.
The airline issued an apology and said the passenger was not badly harmed.
She was given medical assistance on arrival and then taken to hospital for further treatment.
Air India said: “This was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident involving a scorpion biting a passenger.”
The passenger was attended by the airport doctor and subsequently treated at hospital and discharged.”
The incident took place in late April.
