Peter Deilmann to stop river cruises in 2010
Peter Deilmann Cruises will close its river cruise division in 2010 for financial reasons.
The German cruise line will continue to operate its ocean-going cruise ship, Deutschland.
For 2009, river cruises will operate as normal but next year the eight river cruise ships will be dry-docked as part of bankruptcy proceedings.
The company has blamed the economic downturn, unfavourable exchange rates and problems securing credit for its decision.
