Petra Roach will become interim president and CEO of the Barbados Tourism Authority on May 2.
She will continue to oversee the UK market in her role as vice president of marketing and sales, but will be based in Barbados.
The move comes as part of a shake-up at the BTA.
According to the island’s local press, former acting president and CEO Urban Cumberbatch and his acting deputy Averil Byer have been advised by the board’s chairman Adrian Elcock that they would be sent on early retirement, along with other staff.
