P&O Cruises expands programme for 2008
P&O Cruises has added nine new ports to its main 2008 first edition brochure and introduced more fly-cruise departure points.
The programme, which goes on sale on April 30, details itineraries on six ships in the fleet, including new superliner Ventura, covering 151 cruises to 225 destinations in 90 countries.
More seven night cruises, to Northern Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, Channel Islands and Ireland are featured.
With family-friendly Ventura offering a winter Caribbean fly-cruise season popular with newcomers and families, adult-only ships Arcadia and Artemis will be deployed to offer sailings for more experienced cruisers.
Arcadia will sail from Southampton until January 2009 and Artemis will run its first fly-cruises with departures from Montego Bay, Jamaica, New Orleans and Manaus in Brazil.
New destinations for the line include Jacksonville in the US, Lerwick in Scotland, Molde in Norway, Puerto Chiapas in Mexico, Qaqortoq in Greenland, Roatan in Honduras, Santa Marta in Colombia, Skjolden in Norway and Santo Tomas de Castilla in Guatemala.
An increased number of overnight stays cover Istanbul, Barbados, Madeira, Acapulco and New Orleans, with two day stays in Barcelona, Venice and St Petersburg.
Discounted child places are available in the peak school holiday periods together with free child places outside the school holidays.
Early booking deals available until August 31 include discounts of up to 45% and free car parking for Southampton round trip departures.
P&O Cruises commercial director Nigel Esdale said: “P&O Cruises has more ex-UK departures than any other cruise line and the 2008 programme will offer diverse itineraries to appeal to both new and experienced cruise passengers alike.”
“When Ventura launches in April 2008 with Noddy on board every itinerary, digital Scalextric, 3D cinema, circus skills training and a Rock School for teenagers, we will be offering the most family friendly superliner sailing from the UK.”
The brochure comes with an accompanying DVD for customers.
