Ryanair reports another rise in passengers

Thursday, 2 July 20153 min read

Ryanair passenger numbers jumped 14% year-on-year to 9.5 million in June.

Load factor rose 5% points to 93% and rolling annual traffic to June grew 14% to 94.3m customers.

Ryanair chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said the rise was due to the airline’s ‘lower fares, our stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our Always Getting Better customer experience improvement programme’.

He said the next phase of the programme includes a new website, new app, new cabin interiors, new crew uniforms, improved in-flight menus, reduced fees, and ‘great new digital features’ such as ‘hold the fare’ and price comparison services.
