Sandals buys first property in Grenada
Sandals Resorts International has bought LaSource Resort in Grenada for an undisclosed sum.
It will be the brand’s first property in this Eastern Caribbean country.
Sandals chairman Gordon "Butch" Stewart said he had been hoping to open a resort in Grenada for 12 years.
The property, on the Pink Gin Beach, will become Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa.
Sandals has not confirmed when it will open, but says it will double the number of guestrooms, private cottages and bungalows to 200.
Many of these will be concierge- and butler-level suites, including the brand’s signature Rondoval suites.
Sandals said further details about investment and an expected launch date will be released in the coming days.
