Sandals Resorts International has sold off the Grand Pineapple Antigua to Elite Island Resorts.
The sale is due to be completed on May 30.
The group said the 180-room resort at Long Bay will continue accepting bookings and will remain open.
Bookings made for arrivals after May 30 will be fully protected at the agreed upon rates.
It said there would be a seamless transition to a new name and brand, Pineapple Beach Club, on June 1 under Elite’s ownership.
All resort staff members will remain in place under the new management team.
Grand Pineapple Negril remains in the Sandals collection and will not be impacted by the sale.
Sandals said it is in ‘high-level discussions’ to introduce the first Beaches Resorts to Antigua.
