Secret Agent report – will anonimity allow for candour?
A TravelMole Secret Agent writes: –

Anonymity can allow for a certain candor that while uncomfortable for some, can address topics in exactly the ways we discuss them in person.
We seem to have moved to a generic society in terms of discussion.
One cable network tried “fair and balanced” by simply making air time available to people from opposing sides to yell at and talk over each other.
That didn’t inform any discussion and was cancelled.
Maybe this is how we need to go for now – provided the website owners vet the voices/secret agents.
What no one seems to be addressing and bothers me more are all these people providing hotel reviews.
Websites in North America are airing a series of tv commercials now raving about reviews by real people.
Well, who are these people?
How do I know they know how to accurately judge a property?
It could be their first time in a resort or their first holiday in five years.
One of the problems of the web is that anyone can post anything without most people wondering about their qualifications to do so, or the posters having to prove their credentials to make legitimate criticism.
That’s why I hope Travel Mole will give a hard vetting those who wish to go undercover.

The Mole Comments – oh yes, be reassured we will be, without losing the essence of what they are saying!
