Shanghai cruise port plans to expand further to meet the demand for a growing number of mega cruise ships.
The city’s Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal will build two more docks with adjacent terminal buildings by 2017, port chairman Wang Younong said.
The port was opened nearly five years ago and can currently accommodate two ships simultaneously.
When work is complete this will more than double its capacity.
It is expected to handle 2.8 million cruise passengers by the end of the year, an annual rise of 85%.
