Shanghai typhoon warning

Travellers to southern and eastern coastal regions of China, including Shanghai, are being warned that a tropical cyclone is likely to bring hazardous weather conditions later this week.
In an update to its travel advice, the Foreign Office said Typhoon Talim is likely to affect the mainlined from Thursday.
It said it will bring rough seas as well as hazardous weather to parts of Zhejiang province, including the cities of Ningbo, and Shanghai.
It told British visitors to monitor the progress of approaching storms and to follow the advice of the local authorities.
The typhoon season in China normally runs from May to November.
