Singapore, Malaysia working on joint vaccine certificate system
Cross strait neighbours Malaysia and Singapore hope to agree a framework to recognise each other’s vaccine certificates to kick start tourism.
Officials have been discussing the matter and plan to announce operational details of a compatible scheme next month. They are working on sharing information about the respective public heath systems.
"The exchange of reliable information between our Health Ministries will help build confidence to safely open our borders and allow travel again," said Malaysia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
