Brittany Ferries has been forced to cancel and divert crossings in the next few days as a result of Storm Atiyah across Ireland, the UK and the north west coast of France.
The storm also disrupted flights at Cork Airport, which were either cancelled or diverted to Dublin and Shannon.
Strong winds and waves of over 10 metres high prompted it to cancel a number of services operating on the English Channel and through the Bay of Biscay on Sunday and Monday.
Sailings between Portsmouth and Caen are cancelled until Tuesday while Portsmouth to St Malo services have been diverted to Cherbourg.
The ferry firm has also cancelled Sunday night’s Plymouth to Roscoff service and Cherboug to Poole services until at least Tuesday.
A sailing from Portsmouth to Le Havre on Monday and the return service on Tuesday have also been cancelled.
Sunday’s Portsmouth to Bilbao 23:30 service will now leave on Monday morning, but with the same arrival time.
The Santander to Portsmouth, due to depart at 17:15 Monday, will now leave Tuesday morning, with an expected arrival time in Portsmouth of 10:00 on Wednesday.
Tuesday night’s St Malo to Portsmouth sailing has also been cancelled.
