Clients looking for the most affordable ski accommodation in North America should perhaps be steered clear of Utah, where two of its most popular resorts have been named as the most expensive.
The survey, conducted by CheapHotels.org, said the average price for the cheapest double hotel room in Deer Valley, Park City was $395 per night in February 2014.
In Snowbird, the average price was $312 during the same period.
Keystone in Colorado came in at $124 a night, more than three times cheaper than Deer Valley.
Even Aspen in Colorado, considered to one of the smartest US ski resorts, was cheaper than Utah, with the most affordable room costing $186.
Beaver Creek in Colorado was named as the third most expensive resort, with average hotel prices coming in at $289.
The survey, conducted between January 15-17, compared all major ski resorts in the US and Canada for hotels rated two stars or higher, for stays during February.
The price comparison was carried out on hotel booking sites Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline. In
Copper Mountain in Colorado room rates were almost half the price of those in Park City.
