Sydney hit by flash flooding

Wild weather left parts of Sydney under several feet of water after it was inundated with a month’s worth of rain in only two hours. It centred on Marrickville but caused widespread travel chaos with a virtually submerged train station and roads treacherous.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a road weather alert for all Sydney suburbs. Water began slowly receding but ‘flash flooding is still a risk ‘it said.
A severe thunderstorm warning is still in effect for all Sydney.
