Sydney’s newest attraction
Sydney’s newest tourist attraction opened last night and harbour city tourists now have a choice of high altitude adventure walks with the opening of Skywalk, a $6 million dollar outdoor structure atop Sydney Tower.
James Fulford, CEO Sydney Aquarium Group, which will operate the attraction, said “Skywalkers will enjoy the thrill of literally walking across the city skyline, enjoying unrivalled views of the world’s most beautiful harbour and as far afield as the Central Coast and Blue Mountains.”
For $109, up to 60,000 people – many of them international tourists – are expected to take the 90-minute high-adrenaline jaunt over the coming year.
Skywalk, which has been four years in the making, will compete with Bridgeclimb which has attracted over 1.5 million customers since it opened in 1998.
