Thai island Koh Samet reopens after lockdown
The Thai tourist island of Koh Samet is open again after a three-week island-wide lockdown. It is now safe to visit, the Koh Samet tourism association says, and there have been no recent Covid cases reported.
The island shut down to non-residents in late April after a small cluster of cases. On the island the standard ‘DMHTTA’ control measures are in force, which are distancing, mask wearing, hand washing, temperature checks, testing for Covid-19 and using the mobile app Mor Chana.
