The Superliners are Coming
Complete Cruise Solution has launched a new campaign to boost awareness of its upcoming biggest ever cruise season, which will see seven superliners from four leading cruise brands visiting Australia in 2007.
The ‘Superliners are Coming’ campaign is designed to build on the excitement surrounding the superliners’ impending visits and boost travel agents’ knowledge of the brands and individual ships before they dock.
The visits of Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2, Princess Cruises’ Sapphire Princess and Sun Princess, P&O Cruises World Voyages’ Aurora and Oriana and P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Dawn, will make Australian cruise history both in terms of the number of ships and their size.
Kicking off in August and running for 18 months, ‘The Superliners are Coming’ campaign will include information on all the CCS superliners scheduled to visit Australia, providing travel agents with short, sharp summaries of the ships’ features and fun facts to differentiate the vessels and brands.
A dedicated Superliners’ website, www.superliners.com.au, will launch next month, featuring detailed ship guides, cruising schedules, virtual tours, cruise cams and eye-catching downloads including screensavers.
Late September will see the launch of a major trade incentive, giving Australian CCS travel agents the chance to win a range of superliner prizes.
Collectively, the arrival of CCS’ seven superliners will offer 22 voyages sailing to or from Australia and visit six local ports, offering Australian travel agents and their clients more choice in cruise holidays.
Among the superliners to arrive on our horizon will be two ships specifically designed for Australians – P&O Cruises Australia’s new Pacific Dawn, which will be permanently based in Sydney from October 2007, and the Sun Princess, which will replace Pacific Princess for the summer of 2007/08.
Injecting a record number of balconies into the Australian market between them, Sun Princess and Pacific Dawn will both sail from Sydney on itineraries designed to suit Australian preferences and include onboard prices in Australian dollars.
Cunard Line’s massive Queen Mary 2 will smash the record for the largest ship to visit Australia when she sails to Sydney in February 2007 to be joined by QE2, while P&O Cruises World Voyages’ sister ships, Aurora and Oriana, will return to Australia’s shores in early 2007 as part of their round world voyages.
