Editorial
Dear TravelMole Member
The Business Travel 2002 exhibition which starts today at
Olympia, London, will be an important indicator on how far the
sector has recovered from the effects of the September 11
terrorist attacks.
BA’s quarterly figures revealed that premium traffic had fallen
by a massive 27.3% in the three months to December 31. However,
there have been more promising indications from the figures
released this month from, among others, BAA, Expedia, KLM and
Ryanair. Exhibition director Paul Robin is unreservedly
optimistic about the prospects for this week’s event which he
says “promises to be our best show ever.”
Best wishes
Richard Hammond
