A Boston judge has sentenced a travel agent to nearly four years prison for scamming clients out of more than $2 million.
Bret Gordon, 44, of Waltham, Mass, was given a prison term of 46 months.
He must pay restitution of $2.8 million and will undergo three years of supervised release.
He had already pled guilty last year to six counts of wire fraud and two counts of filing a false personal tax return.
Gordon was the majority owner of now defunct river cruise specialist Tom Harper Cruises and took money paid as deposits for customer vacations and used it to fund a gambling habit.
About 400 customers were affected between September 2013 and June 2015, prosecutors said.
