British Airways led the way among travel and tourism shares yesterday after a broker recommendation – and some very positive figures. Shares in the flag-carrier leapt 27.75p to 269.75p yesterday; other winners were EasyJet and ebookers, both of which made significant gains. The FTSE 100 index, however, was in retreat yesterday, losing 35.5 points to 4469.7.
