As part of a global management shake-up, Vivian Hong has been named president, Asia Pacific for Travelzoo.
Hong will take over in the new role at the beginning of 2016.
Hong, 42, joined Travelzoo Asia Pacific in 2011 and currently has overall responsibility for Travelzoo units in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Assuming the role of Asia Pacific president on January 1, she will then oversee all operations in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South East Asia and Taiwan.
The travel deal consolidator and hotel booking site recently reacquired its Asia Pacific business from company founder Ralph Bartel for $22.6 million.
The company had originally spun off its Asia businesses six year ago due to losses, but has recovered in recent years and the ‘market outlook is very positive,’ said then group CEO Chris Loughlin.
