The Trump Hotel Collection is again at the center of a reported credit card data breach for the second time in a year.
Cybersecurity guru Brian Krebs cites bank sources which discovered a pattern of fraud on customer credit cards which were linked to stays at Trump hotels.
These took place at Trump International Hotel New York, Trump Hotel Waikiki in Honolulu, and the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Toronto in recent months.
A Trump statement didn’t publicly acknowledge a cyber attack but said: "We are in the midst of a thorough investigation on this matter. We are committed to safeguarding all guests’ personal information and will continue to do so vigilantly."
The hotel chain confirmed a malware infected data breach had taken place at several properties last October.
Ironically presidential candidate Donald Trump was on the campaign trail last month talking about America’s ‘obsolete’ cybersecurity policy.
"We are frankly not being led very well in terms of the protection of this country," Trump told the New York Times.
