TUI relaunches budgetholidays.com

TUI UK has re-launched its low cost holiday website after it got off to a slow start.

A spokesperson said February was a bad time to launch because of the onset of the Iraq conflict.

She added: “Once people know about it they are rushing to tell their friends.”

The website is aimed at money-conscious families and couples looking for a low price holiday. It features 27 resorts, which start at £79 for seven nights in an apartment in Majorca. The holidays are fully bonded.

The relaunch is being accompanied by promotions in various UK media, and a number of “stunts” that will take place this week.

Customers pay extra for inflight meals and transfers, and holidays booked over the phone incur a £10 charge.
