Passengers were shaken but all escaped unharmed when two planes collided at a Jakarta airport.
The collision caused the wing of a plane to burst into flames, but all 49 passengers and crew were evacuated safely.
The Batik Air passenger plane was taking off from Jakarta when its wing clipped the tail of a TransNusa aircraft being towed across the runway.
The incident caused the temporary closure of the Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta, which mainly handles domestic flights.
Indonesia’s transport ministry has instructed the transportation safety commission to investigate the incident.
Ministry spokesman Hadi M Djuraig said the commission would look into the operations of air traffic control, ground handling and the airport operator Angkasa Pura II.
"In regards to what happened, we are waiting for the investigation result from the authorities," said Edward Sirait, president director of Lion Air Group, which is the parent of Batik Air.
