United Airlines doubles Edinburgh flights
United Airlines is doubling Edinburgh flights from its Newark hub.
It is going double daily from Newark year-round which boosts overall frequency to four Edinburgh flights a day from the US.
United says it is meeting ‘demand for transatlantic travel to and from Scotland.’
Flights will operate on Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
“This will provide greater travel choices to travellers across Scotland who will now benefit from four daily direct Edinburgh flights to the United States”, the airline said.
Customers departing Edinburgh can connect to 151 cities across the Americas.
Airport aviation director Kate Sherry said: “Additional service is great news for the airport as it provides even more connectivity to the US.”
“It shows the confidence United has in our airport and the strength of our relationship.”
