A week to forget for United Airlines just got a little worse.
Another United passenger was forced to seek medical attention but this time there were no overzealous cops involved.
Passenger Richard Bell was stung by a scorpion which apparently fell out of an overhead bin.
Crew aboard the Houston to Calgary flight consulted with medical personnel on the ground while the scorpion was captured and flushed down the toilet.
United said the injury was not life threatening.
"Medical personnel met the aircraft after it arrived in Calgary," United spokesman Charles Hobart told CNBC.
Bell described it as like a ‘wasp sting.’
‘"While I was eating, something fell in my hair from the overhead above me. I picked it up, and it was a scorpion. And I was holding it out by the tail, so it couldn’t really sting me then."
