Uniworld waives solo supplements on more cruises
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has decided to waive single supplements on 203 European cruise departures in 2017.
It said the move was in response to a ‘significant increase’ in the volume of enquiries about solo travel.
"Solo travel is a big opportunity for the trade," said Kathryn Beadle, managing director UK.
"We are seeing this area of the market exhibit significant growth and we recognise the importance of single supplement waivers in helping agents to harness the value of the solo travel market."
A further 69 cruise departures across ten different European itineraries are selling with a reduced Single Supplement offer in 2017.
The company said some of the most popular European itineraries eligible for ‘No Solo Supplement’ cruising in 2017 include the eight-day Enchanting Danube and Connoisseur Collection departures on the eight-day Bordeaux, Vineyards and Chateaux cruise.
It said a number of Christmas market itineraries were also popular with solo travellers.
