Vietnam Airlines launching new Busan route

Vietnam Airlines is launching another route to Busan, South Korea.

It will connect Danang and Busan with Airbus A321 aircraft starting July 20, with twice weekly flights.

The four-hour flight will run Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The national flag carrier also operates flights to Korea’s second largest city from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Last year the airline carried about 350,000 between Busan and Vietnam and South Korea is the second largest source market for tourism to Vietnam after China.

Vietnam Airlines faces stiff competition from Korean carriers Asiana and Korean Air which also serve the Da Nang-Busan route.
