A former revenue analyst for Virgin America has pleaded no contest to a charge of stealing more than $200,000 from the airline.
DeSonia Crossley, 43, entered the no contest plea in exchange for a jail sentence of no more than one year, prosecutors said.
Crossley, who worked for Virgin at San Francisco International Airport, embezzled $224,750 through numerous unauthorized refunds, prosecutors said.
All transactions took place between July 2012 and September 2013, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
The fraud was uncovered by a work colleague when Crossley was away on vacation and a subsequent company audit discovered 108 fraudulent refunds.
Crossley is scheduled to be sentenced on March 4, 2016.
