WestJet expands transpacific codeshare with Korean Air
WestJet expanded its existing codeshare agreement with Korean Air adding its code on Korean’s flights between both Toronto Pearson and Vancouver to Seoul Incheon.
it is WestJet’s first two-way codeshare with an Asian airline.
It gives WestJet fliers to more options on transpacific travel.
The codeshare flights are bookable through WestJet’s website and call centre, and through all travel agent partners.
WestJet Rewards members can accrue and redeem WestJet Dollars on these codeshare tickets.
“It’s exciting for WestJet to codeshare on flights across the Pacific to Asia for the first time. We’ve had a strong codeshare with Korean since 2012 and we’re very pleased to be taking this important step,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Chief Commercial Officer.
“We’re looking forward to the new opportunities our now reciprocal codeshare will bring to consumers.”
