Window display course from Worldchoice

A course with a retail display expert to show how agents can attract customers by making their window displays more eye catching is being run by Worldchoice.

Jo Gifford, a lecturer at the London College of Communication, and a specialist in retail display, is to run the Window Display Introductory Course.

The pilot course, costing £85, will be held on November 22 at Huntingdonshire Regional College, Huntingdon, Cambridge. If successful, it will be introduced to other regions.

Gifford will invite agents to bring in a picture of their own windows to create a ‘before’ and ‘after’ case study.

During the day agents will also learn how to make the best use of colour, create themed window displays and use the right eye lines to encourage passers-by to look beyond the window and into the shop itself. Members will also be given a toolkit as a future reference guide.

Worldchoice training manager Sue Sharman said: “Having an inspiring and eye catching window display has always been a prime way that retailers have encouraged passing trade into their shop.

“Travel really lends itself to this, which is why we have put together a course that will offer a host of practical advice and be enjoyable as well.”
