Worldspan signs agreement with Delta
Worldspan announced an agreement with Delta Air Lines that it said “focused on delivering the most comprehensive fare content possible to our travel agencies while providing the best value to airline customers.” “This agreement helps us do both,” added Mike Parks, senior vp and general manager for Worldspan. The agreement expands Worldspan’s access to Delta Air Lines fares, including all publicly available fares and Web fares primarily available at delta.com, as well as third-party Web sites. The three-year agreement provides comprehensive fare content, including Web fares, to Worldspan’s traditional travel agencies in the US as well as the Caribbean. “Worldspan already provides unmatched pricing technologies and with the addition of these Web fares in Worldspan’s system, our traditional agents can provide even better itinerary choices, giving them the competitive advantage they need to win in today’s marketplace,” said Mr Parks. The company says it is part of an ongoing effort to broaden the range of fare information available.
