Paul Gauguin Cruises will resume its Moana Explorer Program for young guests on 11 summer and holiday French Polynesia cruises aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin.
The complimentary program is the only one of its kind among luxury lines exploring Tahiti and the islands of French Polynesia.
It marks the cruise line’s sixth year of partnership with Te mana o te moana, a South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation.
The program is designed to engage children ages six to 15 with hands-on, interactive activities to highlight the nature and unique cultures of the region.
Moana Explorer Program activities range from learning about the impacts of water pollution, playing beach “Survivor” games, hiking volcanic mountains to snorkelling in lagoons along with the naturalists.
Depending on the itinerary, there is opportunity to explore underwater, conduct water experiments, make natural jewellery, and go on a treasure hunt.
Other activities include learning about Tahitian culture, folklore and geology, and design a Polynesian tattoo.
“Our Moana Explorer Program remains exceptionally popular,” said Deb Corbett, PONANT CEO Asia Pacific.
“This partnership ensures that children enjoy some of the most genuinely immersive, fun and educational experiences while discovering French Polynesia.”
